New this week: Your baby's about 15.7 inches long now, and he weighs almost 3 pounds (like a head of cabbage). A pint and a half of amniotic fluid surrounds him, but that volume will decrease as he gets bigger and takes up more room in your uterus. His eyesight continues to develop, though it's not very keen; even after he's born, he'll keep his eyes closed for a good part of the day. When he does open them, he'll respond to changes in light but will have 20/400 vision — which means he can only make out objects a few inches from his face. (Normal adult vision is 20/20.)

30 weeks
Only 10 weeks left! Monday we had an appointment and the doctor said that everything is going great! I gained just about a 1 in the past 2 weeks (total weight gain so far of about 12 pounds). All of the testing that was done 2 weeks ago was normal- no diabetes, anemia, strange or infectious diseases, etc... we are perfectly healthly. Caileb was very active and is growing well- right at 3 pounds with a heart rate of 153! The doctor says that if Caileb continues growing as he has, we can expect to have a 7 pound baby boy, but he can't promise us that as of yet = ( (7 pounds sounds just great to me). At any rate, we made it safely to and back from the wedding this past weekend... we have one more trip before we are home bound for the long haul! Rica sand I will be going home to KY the first weekend of October for a baby shower and for one last family/friend reunion before Caileb's arrival (I can't travel past Halloween). Only 6 appointments left (2 more 2 weeks appointments and then 4- 1 week appointments) and then the big D day should be upon us!!!!!!
